Law in practice

Your First State Exam is evidence of your exceptional legal skills. The next step is a legal traineeship (Referendariat) and the start of your career. As passionate lawyers we are keen to spark that same passion in you. You will receive hands‑​on training on cases and how we work day‑​to‑​day in our law firm. You will learn about professional conduct, producing written pleadings and other writs, our involvement in legislative developments and how we conduct trials in court. Come and meet us to discover what direct contact with clients and working in our teams is like. We cover a wide spectrum of the law and you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact from day one.

To help you prepare for the assessor's examination, we offer you an exclusive three‑​day intensive revision course on the main subjects of the Second State Examination. In addition, we run a civil law exam course four times a year with detailed discussion and sample solutions.

Then send us your application for the mandatory law firm stage (Anwaltsstation) or the elective stage (Wahlstation) of your legal traineeship. Please include your CV in the form of a table. You also need to let us know which of our offices you would prefer to work in and in which practice areas you would like to hone your skills.
