Bonn, 29 October 2021. This year, the Redeker Sellner Dahs law firm has been presented the Juve Award for the best law firm in the field of environmental and planning law. This is the second time in five years that Juve has commended the firm with this highly coveted award in this area of law, thereby underscoring Redeker's leading role in the field.
The grounds for the decision cited by Juve Verlag note inter alia: “It is no accident that the law firm has been among the top names in the market for years, practicing the entire repertoire of environmental and planning law at a consistently high level. … Large corporations and major cities, federal ministries and the German Länder: Redeker advises them all. Just as impressive as its portfolio of clients is the team's constant involvement in proceedings with high political profiles: for instance, it obtained a settlement with Deutsche Umwelthilfe for the state of North Rhine‑Westphalia in the dispute over road bans on diesel vehicles and represented the German government before the ECJ in infringement proceedings for exceeding nitrogen oxide limits.”
“We are very pleased to have once again been selected Law Firm of the Year in Environmental and Planning Law. For decades now, we have been performing politically and economically significant cases in environmental and planning law with a large and highly specialised team at all our offices,” says Andreas Okonek, Chairman of the firm's Management Committee.
The firm's environmental and planning law team currently comprises 31 specialist lawyers at four offices and has been further strengthened in the last twelve months.
The Juve Awards are presented each year by Juve Verlag, which among other things puts out the annual “Commercial Law Firms” handbook. The Redeker Sellner Dahs law firm has already been nominated in various categories and won the Juve Award “Law Firm of the Year for Public Commercial Law” in 2007, “Law Firm of the Year in White Collar Criminal Law” in 2014, “Law Firm of the Year in Environmental and Planning Law” in 2016 and “Law Firm of the Year in Antitrust Law” in 2019.
